March Sketchy Challenge- Scrapping Good Time - Face book page

I thought this month i would have a go at the Sketchy Challenge on the Scrapping Good Time, Face book Page.

I choose to kept pretty much to the sketch.

For this challenge i have used Kaisercraft "True Love Collection" and a small piece from the OOh La La Collection.

I started by  cutting my background sheet, for this I have cut
TOP: 2 1/2" piece of "My Baby"
MIDDLE: 5" piece of "My Love Reverse"
BOTTOM: 4 1/2 piece of "Oui Oui" from the "OOh La La" Collection.

On each of the joins I have placed a piece of Paper Mill "Woodlands Lace"

Cutting a photo Mat from "My Precious" Reverse and adding both photo's leaving a 1/8" all way around
From "My Love" reverse i have cut a piece  8" x 3" and cut a V at the bottom end
This piece will sit under the photo mat, centred in the middle of the right hand photo and over the lace.
Before adding this to the page  i have added a piece  green lace from the sticker sheet, then cut a  piece from "My Precious" 1 1/4" x 3" and added above the cut piece from the sticker sheet as i wanted to place by title on this piece

I have  added the V shaped piece of paper to my background paper ensuring it would central under the right hand photo, placing photo mat over the top 3/4" from the right.

I retrieved the hearts from the sticker sheet and tucking them under slightly on top and bottom of the left hand photo, keeping the lace slightly visible.

I then proceed to cut out 15 x 3/4 " hearts from apricot and white glitter card stock.
These where  placed on the right hand side of the photo in three rows. Over this ran a string of gold pearls.
To finish the page: Added title from sticker sheet, 3 diamond glass bead. a flower next to the title and to the right of the photo a row of flowers from the sticker sheet.
A sticker from the sticker sheet was added below the right photo, Bling was then added throughout page, with photo corners being paced at left and bottom right hand corner

Let's get Sketchy March Challenge

I then added them to a peice of Kaisercraft "Sage" card stock.

Across the join line i added a piece  of blue lace from the sticker sheet.

Cut a piece of " Plaster Rose" Reverse 8 1/4" x 6 3/4" to use as my photo mat. added it to background using foam squares
Adding three photo's 3 1/4: by 3 3/4". plus a fourth piece from "Plaster Rose" for which i added words from the sticker sheet. this piece is added to the right hand side under the third photo,
Placing the left hand photo's 1 1/4: from the top and the right hand photos 1 1/4" from the bottom.

SCRAPBOOKIT MARCH BLOG CHALLENGE:

SCRAPBOOKIT MARCH BLOG CHALLENGE:

This challenge was to use shapes (circle, hearts, triangle, stars squares etc), Use a different technique or product never tried before.
Nearly all my layouts, don’t include mixed media. Really had to think about if I would participate in this one
I had purchased Nuvo embellishment mousse and Imagination Crafts – Sparkle Medium last year at a craft show, but never open them (Yes, I know what a sin).
For this challenge I chose white card stock and a small star stencil.
Moving the stencil around the page I change from the sparkle to the mousse so I would have the two different colours (need to be careful when you lift the stencil and reposition it). As both the Mousse and the sparkle Medium where two different colours. It was not perfect but felt pleased with the background.
Using Kaiser craft “U-Bud “collection, Telaga” reverse, cut a piece larger than the photo so that I could add my title, added this to the page using foam dots.
Cut a mat for my photo using “Citra” and using foam dots, placed it over the “Telaga and then added my photo using foam squares
Fussy cut the doors from “Mantra” stencilled a star on each using – Sparkle Medium and added the girl’s names onto two of the doors (cut with my Brother label maker) then tucked then under the “Telaga” using foam squares.
Cut the title “Star” out of glitter paper using my Scan n Cut. Added this to the left side of my photo onto the “Telaga” The word “TV” was in my letter stash, placed it just above the top of the “Telaga” paper.
Finished off my adding two of the small Mandala to the right of the photo from the collectables pack and a strip from the Sticker sheet under the photo, with Pearl drops as handles for the doors

Challenge 2: Sketch challenge

This was a relative easy challenge. The hardest part was deciding on what background paper and photos to use.
I stuck to the actual sketch, with the only changes are that I used buttons instead of paper embellishments and braid.
Once I had chosen my paper Kaiser craft “Summer Splash collection”
I used the “Sun Kissed” paper for the background I added a Mixture of Strips from the “Summer Splash” Sticker sheet and Ric Rac Braid from my stash layering and gluing them across the page where my photos would sit, ensuring one sat beneath where the photo would go
Matted my photo’s in “Swell” using both the reverse on one photo and centred then across the strips using double sided tape.
Completing the layout by adding embellishments, Buttons from my stash, Pearl Drops, brown enamel drops, dotted the page with a cotton bud dipped in Orchid ink and then adding words from the “Summer Splash” sticker sheet.

Challenge 1:
Use Ribbon and Flowers.

Putting together this Layout, I have use Kaiser craft “Golden Grove Collection”
For My background I have used “Fallen Leaves” Reverse paper
I have then cut a rectangle from “Collated” Reverse 7” x 8” paper
Over this I have layered several ribbons at various lengths
I have used a 6” x 4” photo which I have matted in” Greenery” paper
Placing this mat over the ribbons using foam squares.
Dye cut leaf from Gold Glitter paper and flower petals from hessian
Cut flowers, butterflies and leaves from “Gold Dahlia” paper
Placing embellishments on bottom left and top and bottom right using foam dots tucking them under the photo mat. Layering again with foam dots the flowers and fruit.  Using another ribbon, I glued one underneath the photo mat and cut small strips of ribbon for bows which I placed randomly around the flowers.
Used a few words from the Sticker sheet in random places
Finishing off I Kindy Glitz with gold the flowers to match the leaves
