Thankful and Blessed

 Good Morning

My last post for the Year, Don't know where it has Gone.
I would like to wish each and everyone A "HAPPY NEW YEAR" and may all your dreams and craft wishes come true in 2019

Its been a busy year, lots of layouts and cards made. Lots of challenges entered. The photo stash is slowly depleting but am sure there will be lots more of the grandchildren and great grand children next year.

I made a few things this year that are way out of my comfort zone. Experimenting with texture paste and stencils, paint and actually stamping on to either a layout or a card and the making mini books .

I' am off next week for a two week stay with our daughters, so January will not be much of a challenge month for me , but i will come home with lots of Happy Snaps of grandchildren and great grandchildren to scrap in 2019

This post is for "Off The Rails Scrapbooking" blog spot and the challenge is

"Anything Goes"

I have completed so many Christmas Layouts this month , I thought I was Christmases out before it even began.

The layout is of our great grandchildren and the tradition of generations a photo with  Santa.

I stencil the background using textured paste did not come out as clean as i wanted but it has added, so the background did not look so drab. I used Kaisercraft "Wonderland" Collection bits left after making my Christmas cards.

I have not written full instructions as i did not do them as i went , was running out of time to complete this page, Have no idea where this month has disappeared too

Hope you like its

Sending you Happy Wishes

Good Morning

Its a cloudy overcast day after a scorcher yesterday with a big storm last night, lots of wind and heavy rain, thankfully , no damage done for us.

I put this together yesterday, and mucked around with it for a fair while before i was completely happy with it. Have glued it down this morning

The great grandchildren , they my perfect subjects at the moment.

Suppose i better let you know who the challenge is for  "STICK IT DOWN" Blog spot, they have three different challenge, A Card Sketch , (which i have already entered) A Single page Sketch for which this is for and A Double Page Sketch, (I don't usually do double pages) I may give it a ago next year, but time is running out for me this year, with Christmas fast approaching

Whats on my Table

Design Team

Good Morning

Life has graciously got in the way this month so have not posted for a while.

My post today  is "What's on my Table" as part of the Design Team  for the Happy Craft Challenge

I started the photo's on Friday and finished off Saturday when i completed my Gift Bag and card set or an order

I started out with a sheet of Kaisercraft "Golden Grove":- Dahlia and a sheet of  Yellow Card stock my Score Board. I love this bag as you can complete it using one sheet of paper and one of card stock I use Ribbon instead of card stock  ( my Choice) and add a Tag cut from the leftover Card stock

I saw the clip on "You Tube"  last year and have made so many of them since. I can now make them  without referring back to the instructions. (They make such a lovely gift)  I add a selection of ten cards , or what ever is required by the purchaser

My  next step is the making of the card as you can see i have some decoupage  mermaids which i had already put together . The three mermaid are from a sheet from "Reddy Creative Cards" 3 D- Stanzbogen. They came as a freebie from a prize i won early this year

As you can see in the photo I have used my Rectangle Dyes to cut the bases and the third largest to create the next level. Decoupage cards  have some tiny bits but i love to make them .

I have used Kaisercraft "Deep Sea" Collection,"- Barrier Reef and Sand Bar.  I thought the colours where just so perfect, I have also added some Collectables underneath the Decoupage Mermaids and some clear gems .

This particular set was for an Order and was for Three  Male card  . I had to make one up decide on  a decoupage set, no name of the brand but it had 50 cents on the plastic wrap, I think i picked  it up at Craft Alive this year. Three Mermaid card, two Baby Girl cards and Two Baby Boy ( used  Kaisercraft Peek a BOO Collection and some felt pieces i picked up at Craft Alive this year

The Completed Bag with its tag and added Bling and  10 cards  ( the purchaser was extremely happy)

I have added the written instruction also my version of how i make them

You Tube clip for the original bag

HOW TO  MAKE A HANDBAG FOR YOUR CARDS:

REQUIREMENTS:

One sheet of 12" x 12" card stock
coordinating paper  12" x 12"
Either Brads or Gems
Corner Punch
Tom bow glue , or glue which you can manouvere the pieces to ensure they stay level when adding around the curves
You can use tape if you want

You can add ribbon instead if so Either Brads or Gems and Corner Punch  NOT REQUIRED

CUTTING"
Base , Handles , inside and outside of the top of bag are cut from 1 sheet of card stock

Inside and Outside top  Rim  i USED  A 2" X  12" AND A 2" X 8.5"  INSTEAD DOING BOTH  INSIDE AND OUTSIDE AT SAME TIME

2 x 0.75 x 12"
2 x 0.75 x 8.5"
If you are adding a bottom rim of coordinating card you will need
1 x 0.75 x 12"
1 x 0.75 x 8.5"
Your coordinating paper  one piece
1 x  5" x  12"
1 x  5 " x 7"

Your paper height can be  4.5" or 5" or 5.5"  which is the depth of your bag

SCORING:
Score base at 1" on all four sides of  Base: - 5" x 8"
Score handles at the 0.50"  (centre) starting at 1.5" from the top  and then for 8" ( which will leave you 1.50" at the top and bottom which has not been scored)

ASSEMBLY:
Starting with the base cut each four sides at the start of score line for 1"
Fold the corners in and glue (This will form the base of your box)
Corner punch both ends of the two handles
Add glue to  both of the handles along the score-line only
Fold in half  leaving the top and bottom 1.5" open
Use your bone fold to make a curve and put aside to dry
We are now adding the  outside of the box.
Pick where you will want your seam to be
Glue your  4.5" x 12" piece of paper to the base then overlap  4.5" x 7" piece and continue around the base till fully covered, overlapping the last piece to the first piece.
Using your 0.75" x 11" piece  glue this to the outside of the rim of the  bag then overlap the second piece Complete  the inside rim using remaining your 0.75" x 11 and 0.75" x 8"  and continue around the bag till finished overlapping the last piece to join
If using brads add the handles now
Centre the handles across the front  and back attached using brads
Complete  the inside rim using remaining your 0.75" x 11 and 0.75" x 8", this  will hide the back of your brads
If just using gems you can add your handles last
If you wish you can  add a coordinating piece of card stock around the base of your bag  you will need  0.75 x 12" and 0.75" 8.5" of your colour choice.
Add embellishments to your bag as you would wish

If using ribbon add it last
