Feel free to interpret the Case File in any way that inspires you, or for our traditional clues, scroll down to the bottom of this post.
I actually use the Mood Board

I have chosen to use the yellow, orange and blues on my page,
Stenciled the background but having no orange paint to add to my texture paste used blue and yellow, the photo looks more red , but its actually came out a burnt orange colour, Use this to create the diamond as  in the pillows, then added frames, birds and journaling in the frames , have added a cat.
Have only taken a few elements for this page as i wanted a simplicity page for my grandson photo heading off to school. This layout the bits where all taken from oddments of scraps of paper some of which had already been embossed.

Maureen Wood (Australia)

Hello everyone

Its a very dreary day with some heavy rain last night , very wet under foot, had to go check the garden to see if my Orchids that are in flower survived and didn't get ruined in the rain. All is well , they survived and will have colour for a few weeks to come.

Today i decided to do the second layout for Mystical Scrapbooks, they are sponsoring CSI blog challenge this month so they asked us to do CASE FILE 265

There was lots in this photo that caught my eye : The stripes and triangles in the cushions, The Photo frames with the black and white photos, There was a cat, sure they don't mine  me using a dog, The gold arrows  and gold and silver accents

The colour palette required was:  carnation pink , pale pink, bright white , light Grey and black. I used all the colours in my layout Using a picture of my husband when he was a boy and his dog Trixy
There are Traditional clue to take inspiration from as well, this took me a little while to understand what they wanted as the challenge is not what i am used to, they have a mid month one which i am going to do as well

    ISLAND GREETINGS

    Morning all

Its very quite at home , so just thought i catch up on some  blog pages for some challenges i have been doing, Its the weekend again, it seems to come around faster than usually, this week its mainly been Facebook page challenges which i have not blogged

Today's challenge is for "Artastic" The inspiration comes from

Our November inspiration is by Arthur Baker Clack called "The Citadel, St Tropez".

With a CRITERIA - Paint and/or ink, when I saw this painting all i could think about was an island holiday not some where flash but down to earth. Hence why i chose one of our daughters cruise holiday photo's  with an island greeting as this island had no fancy hotels was  traditional village hut  living by these Tahitian's

     https://artasticchallengeblog.blogspot.com

    MY TAKE:

This is how my layout come about, the page was not what i intended, as it did not go my way , I set about to used one of Kaisercraft  Gloss Specialty sheets from the "Wild flower" Collection where you use the spray mists to add the colour and wipe it off  with baby wipes in a circular motion, So first I tried adding the Pink Mist, the sprayer head did not work (did not have a spare one) so decided to drop droplets of paint on the page (Unsuccessfully) so used the green mist and it just came out in big droplets. I did not want to throw the sheet out, so wipe it off leaving some pink and green ink. Not to try and  cover it up. So grab by Brilliance Inks in Crimson, Lavender and Poppy  and  a little bit of Versa mark  Mint to hide the  pink Mist and make the green look a bit more effective.

Then I had left the lid off the bottle of  Pink Mist and knocked it flying spilling all over the piece "Fleur" AND THE TABLE AND THE FLOOR. (it was a not Happy Jan moment) so hence i have a pink coloured photo mat, and used some to cut out my butterflies.I also used some water coloured paper my granddaughter did in blue to cut some more butterflies.Added some Manor Flowers

    Little Treasure
