Maureen wood (AUST) card sketch

Afternoon all

It’s been another beautiful day here is South East Queensland, a warm day with an overnight low of 10 degrees

It’s been so quiet today. My back has been extremely painful for the last few days that  I actually took so pain meds as i could not move and sitting was just about impossible, taking this has been i have slept all afternoon but have woken up feeling a little better, so thought i do this blog post. Sitting here someone as put their wood burner fire on as I can smell the wood burning such a lovely smell feels like you need a pot of soup or hot chocolate.

I made the card this morning, it's for Stick it Down Monthly Card Sketch  presently using up scraps that i had in a bag. This sketch fitted perfectly

Stick it Down also have a single and Double page layout sketch challenges as i go into hospital on Wednesday for a full knee replacement so will probably be out of action until the end of the month and won't get either of these completed.

Hi.

Morning all,

Its another beautiful day here, only another day to wait for my knee replacement, although i will post this whilst i recoup as trying to make sure i have at least one or two post on my blog  whilst in hospital

Yesterday i dye cut all my pieces and this morning put them together. I decided to use Liquid Pearls straight on to my page not something i do normally but i only had a few smudges which makes me happy
Then i went to photograph it and found it had no title , forgot it
The layout, is a simple one, the longest time was finding the correct colour paper
I then remember i was given this stack of 6" x 6" paper single sheets of various colours. Yup i had enough to make my design work.
The layout is for White with One face book group the Colour this month is "ICE BLUE "
Hopefully my colour fits the bill

My back has been extremely painful for the last few days that  I actually took so pain meds as i could not move and sitting was just about impossible, taking this has been i have slept all afternoon but have woken up feeling a little better, so thought i do this blog post. Sitting here someone as put their wood burner fire on as I can smell the wood burning such a lovely smell feels like you need a pot of soup or hot chocolate.
The picture is of my grand daughter with a phonco that was made for Mother's sister twenty five plus years before by her great great Aunty who had a stroke and the only way she could crochet  was to put the hook in a holder that would hold the needle upright. Both her mother and her Aunty wore the poncho. At some stage i added extra rows so that they could get more wares from it and it has been worn by all the girls in the family since

I completed this layout for Kraft Plus. This month the challenge was to use Paper Cuts (or fussy cut) .
I also made a card from the scraps left over in the bag. Now I only have two sheets left of the Morning Dew Collection and no Collectables. Although i have been told our local Spotlight has some

 MY LAYOUT:

PRODUCTS USED:

Kaisercraft Morning Dew Collection:-Serne, Breathe Reverse, Tranquil Reverse,
Tranquil,  Exhale Reverse, Calming Reverse, Uniquely Creative June Kit Cut a Part Sheet Collectables and Sticker sheet
Kaisercraft Lilly and Moss Sticker Sheet

CUTTING:

Fussy Cut Flowers from  "Serne"
Fussy Cut Pebbles from " Breathe Reverse"
Cut "Tranquil" 2" x 6"
Cut "Tranquil Reverse" 2.75" x 6"
Cut "Exhale" Reverse with Salavage attached 4.50" x 3.25"
Dye Cut "Calming Reverse" 4.50" x 4.50" for frame usi g the two large dyes inside one another.
Cut Doily in half

ASSEMBLY:

Add "Tranquil " 2" from the top and 1.5" from left hand side
Add Tranquil" Reverse 2.5" from the top and 2.25" from the left hand side
Add "Exhale" Reverse 2.5" from the top and 2.50 from the left hand side
Add photo to frame
Add to page 3.75" from the top and 2.5" from the left hand side using foam tape
Add half Cut doily to bottom of photo
Layer fusdy cut flowers starting at the bottom right hand corner. I have three layers
Add embellishments as per photo
Add title to top of page.

All of these bits where in the bag with a partial cut  Sheet of "Serne" which i fussy cut for flower cluster. There were all several small bits of " Breathe" so more fussy cutting.
Any of the bits left i made this card including the thin strips from the sticker sheet.
The measurements of my pieces are if i was starting from scratch as few had bits out of them or not cut straight but luckly able to hide them.
I am a terrible hoarder of small bits of paper

Afternoon all

Another cool night, wind blowing so much cooler. The sky is blue and lovely in the sun out of the wind.

My back is giving me havoc, so have had  a heat pack on it to ease the pain, even the pain patch makes no difference.

Maureen W(AUST) Card sketch 366

Afternoon all

A cool start to the morning 9 degrees, it's been a lovely day with clear blue skies with just that chill factor from the wind. A perfect day to start the easing of our level 3 restrictions  which means you can go to the beach, jet ski, go fishing, travel up to 50kms, but you must follow the guidelines for  Social Distancing. You can be with your family or met up with one friend only.
Time will tell if we can relax further as no new cases for a few days this week here in Queensland.

This will be my last card challenge for Atlantic Hearts for a few weeks due to surgery mid next week. ( Sketch 366)
