Sunset over Ulura


Afternoon All.

Today's post is about the  May challenge for "Off the Rails Blog Spot", which is a mood board of colours  ranging from , yellow to orange,  black and grey.

I really had to put some thought into what i was going to use, thought of the bush fire photos from around by brother in laws farm at first but no, I came across these photos when looking for the bush fire photos.  Taken when travelling back in 1984 on a trip to Alice Springs for an Apex convention and  our visit to Ayers Rock as it was know then. Now called Uluru. I thought the colours in the photo matched in well



May Challenge



PRODUCTS USED:


Kaisercraft  Document Collection : "Chalk Board" and " Library Ephemera"
Open Road Collection: "Outback", Prospecting" and  "Tracks" Reverse
Misty Mountains Collection "Sunset"
Sticker sheet from "Open Road" and  wooden flourish, 
Kaisercraft stamps,  dyes of Kangaroo, arrows and tags.  Kaisercraft "Gum Leaf Red" Ink
Black card stock . Yellow string
3 x 3.5 x 3.5 photos
Black and Silver Letters


CUTTING:

Cut the pieces of   Reverse to 11.50" x 11.5
Cut  "Prospecting" to 4' x 11.5"
Cut "Sunset" 4.5"
Cut  " Chalk Board" 11.5 x 4"
Dye cut   2 x Kangaroo,  2 x arrows and  2 x tags from " Library Ephemera"
Cut Northern Territory map from  "Outback"
Inked all edges with "Gum Leaf Red".
Stamped arrows with "Adventure this way"



ASSEMBLY:

Added "Tracks"to black card stock 0.25 from top and left hand side using double sided tape.
Added "Prospecting"  4.25 in from left hand side and 0.5" from top, using double sided tape
Added "Sunset" 1.75" from left hand side and 0.5" from top using foam tape
Centre " Chalk Board"" in the middle of "Sunset".using foam tape
Centre the 3 Photos on " Chalk Board" using foam tape.
Journal on each tag added Yellow string
Added title,  and finished with embellishments as per Layout.

  2. wow love this, I remember going to Ayers Rock in the 1980s too, I watched the sun rise over the rock and I climbed it too! Great memories to have and great layout. Perfect for our challenge, thank you so much for joining in here at Off the Rails Scrapooking x
