Hike

Hello all

Very windy here to day , if you can find a spot out of the wind its beautiful, after i have typed this up need to go water the veg patch, this wind will dry them out very quickly.


I have been working on this one for the last couple of days not had much time to scrap cannot  focus for long periods at the moment after my eye surgery.  Hopefully this will improve soon, cutting is not perfect .

I have created this layout for the Creative Scrapbook Magazine Challenge, (Its a Canada based scrapbook magazine which comes out quarterly) I like to do Australian based photos , so it took me a while to decide what i was going to cut down to a 3.5 x 6" photo. I eventually decide to use photos taken whilst hiking to Twin Falls in Lamington National Park on the Gold Coast Hinterland in Queensland, with our grandson and his girlfriend.

Kaisercraft "Botanica",  :-  Plant, Stem, Roots and Roots Reverse, and sticker sheet 
"Limelight":-  Arise ( reverse) and "Open Road" sticker sheet.
Bella:- Alpha Thicker.
A Mothers Art Butterflies
Kaiser fusion pen in brown
2 x 3.5 x 6" photos



CUTTING:

Cut "Stem" 9.50" x 7"
Cut photo mat from "Arise" ( reverse)  3.75:" x 6.5"
Cut photo mat from "Arise" ( reverse)  3.75" x 7"
Cut " Roots "  5" x 3"
Cut "Roots" (reverse)  3" x 2.50"
Cut "Arise" (reverse) 1.25" x 2.50"
Cut "Arise" (reverse) 2" x 2.5"
Inked all cut edges with the Brown Kaiser fusion pen


ASSEMBLY:


Using "Plant" as your background piece add  "Roots" 5" from left hand side and at an angle so point is 025" from top
Add "Roots" (reverse) at an angle so point is 0.25 from the top and 2.25 from the left hand side
Add the Piece of  "Stem", 1" from the left hand side and 1" from the top
Use photo of layout as your guide
Add photo to mats using foam tape
Add the first photo mat 1.25" from the left hand side and 2.50" from the top
Add the second photo mat 5" from the left and 1" from the top
Add arrows from "Open Road" sticker sheet to smaller cut piece of "Arise" reverse
Add flower stem from Botanica sticker sheet to the other piece of Arise reverse
Added the two tags from the Botanica Sticker sheet 5" from the left and just under the second photo as per layout
Added the tag from the "Open Road" sticker sheet
Added wording , title and butterflies as per photo of layout
