 Morning all,

What a beautiful day, blue sky and getting warm. Spring is on the way. The Jasmine is out in bud . I have participated in a cyber crop this weekend with three layouts completed. Most I have completed in several months.

We had her First COVID19 vaccination on Monday , the second one will be early October.

We have come out of Lockdown this week as well. Although N.S.W cases have risen to nearly 500  yestday , with deaths rising as well. The whole state has gone into lockdown as it has spread to regional areas. Our children and families live in N.S.W. presently they are all safe. We pray it they stay that way.

My post today is the Design Team Post L.M.561. This month we playing U.N.O. , with the task this week is to use one Photo. I mainly do one photo to a page.

We're in for another warm day, presently we have a cool breeze which is keeping the temperature down although it's still early

Meant to blog this yesterday but time got away, had a couple of appointments which took the morning away  then I had a snooze as I did not get up from my chair after lunch.

I have used the last of "Mother Nature" I had lots of strips the paper s from June 2019, My something new is the doilies which Uniquely has just starting to produce this year and my new Alcohol Markers from Kaiser and my packet of Anko Pastel Cardstock which I received for Christmas. I have not purchased any products so far this year except for my monthly Uniquely Creative kit.

Using Pastel Blue Card stock as Base add  strip of ""Protective" 1.25" from Left and second strip 1.25 from right

Add "Strong"1.75" from left and  second strip 1.75" from right

Add  "Ever Selfless" Reverse 3" from the left and  second strip 3" from right

Add  "Totally Devoted" 4.5" x  4", 4" from left hand side and 3.50" from the right

Add  "Totally Devoted"4.5" x 3.25", 3.50" from the right hand side

Add photo to mat add to page 3" from the top and 4" from left hand side using foam tape in the middle

Add Doilies under photo mat

Happy Christmas

 Afternoon

Just going to share a layout I started to cut the circles out on Thursday night. I had brought out some Christmas scraps earlier in the day as i was thinking about making some Christmas cards on Friday,  but had a migraine instead on Friday. 

Sorting thru the bits on Thursday night  there was a number of 2.75" and 1.75" circles already cut. So Bang the idea struck me as to what i was going to do for the Archiscrap Challenge to use  circles, instead of making Christmas cards.

I cut all the circles I needed and found some embellishments.

CUTTING:

Cut 9 x 3.25 " circles from assorted Paper

 Cut 9 x 2.75 " circles from assorted Paper

Cut 9 x 1.75"circles from assorted Paper

Cut 9x 3.25" circles from Card Stock 

Cut 9 x 2.75 " circles from Card Stock 

Cut 9 x 1.75" circles from Card Stock 

Cut 7" x 5" from "Believe in the Magic

Cut 6.50" x 4.50" from Red Glitter Paper

ASSEMBLY:

Add the card stock to each Circle

Put the circles together starting with a large , medium than small add an embellishment 

Do this with all  9 sets of circle

Add to base Of Peppermint Kisses Fun and Festive Reverse leaving a 0.5" gap between

Add Red Glitter paper to "Believe in the Magic" 

Add photo to Red Glitter paper

Add to page 2.50" from the top and 1" from right hand side

Add Title and any other embellishments

 Good Morning,

Cannot belive its Tuesday,  the kids are walking to school, the first bell has rung. So for the rest of the term i can tell what time it is during the day, so i remember to eat so my sugar does   not do a dive.

I completed this challenge page yesterday to entering into the "White with One" challenge the colour choice this month is "Kelly Green" there is a sketch as well you don't have to do the sket h if you don't want to , but i have.

On last months challenge i received a comment from White with 1, that i must be the Queen of flower clusters, as i always have a clusters of flowers. This layout is no expection. Although when i chose the photo i wasn't going to  but when i had the layout together it was calling me to add some.

Dye Cut 1.75" circle from White Card Stock 

Dye Cut Tag from White Card Stock  1.25" x 2.75"

Create an envelope from a piece of White Card Stock 4.25" x 4.25 "

Stamp Butterfly using Green Ink on to White Card Stock

ASSEMBLY:

Add "Bright" to White Card stock 1" from top

Add "One's Journey " 0.50" from left hand side  and 1.50" from the top leave bottom untaped

Add rounded sticker from sticker sheet to "One's Journey "

Add "Vibrant " tucking it under "One's Journey" 1" from left hand sude and 4" from the top

Add Photo mat 4" from top and 2" from left hand side

Add photo 2" from left hand side and 4.50" from the top,  using foam tape  leaving right hand side so that the tag and envelope can be tucked under

Tuck Tag and Envelope under Photo ( i had journalling and added to envelope)

Add String to tag

Add title to dye cut fircle

Add the white butterfly from the collectables to stamped butterfly 

Add cluster of flowers to bottom right corner ysing leaves from collectables and flowers from my stash

Its quite warm outside just open the windows as there is a slight breeze. 27 degrees today . Before i finnished the layout this morning made some choc chip cookies and sultana and cornflake cookies. My childrens favourite when they where younger.

Cut the strip a flowers and clocks from " Today Reverse "

Dye cut 3 tags from "First Step" Reverse

Stamp the 2 x  small, 6 x Medium and 1x  large Butterfly using "Forest" ink onto " First Steps " Reverse 

Paint the large Butterfly using Watercolours 

Paint the title using "Mango Paint"

Using the "Sunflower" ink . Ink the edges of the strips of Clocks and Flowers , also the edge of  "Arise" Reverse

 

ASSEMBLY:

Use "Bright " Reverse as the base

Add the strip of flowers 2.75" from the top onto  "Bright" Reverse

Add the strip of clocks 1.75" from the bottom on to "Bright" Reverse

Add "Arise" Reverse 5.50"  x  12"in the middle overlapping the cut edges of clocks and flowers

Add ribbion to tags at photos to tags

Add Tags to page with  a 0.25" gap at either end and a gap of 1.75 between 1st and 2nd tag and 2nd and third tag and 0.25" gap from top of "Arise" Reverse

Add the small and medium Butterflies and Butteflies from sticker sheet in between 1st and 2nd tag and 2nd and third tag

Add words from sticker sheet underneath each tag

Add large Butterfly 8" from left hand side and on the cutt edge of the flower strip

Add title to page  2" from the left hand side and 1.50" from the top

D.T. Lasting Memories Project 514. Wild and Free

I cannot beleive its the weekend, i expect when your busy time passes quickly.

This morning i have to go to the hospital  for an M.R.I and an X-Ray, then our Grandon and his girlfriend are coming for lunch. 

So Sunday will disappear before my eyes 

This week i am sharinga layout as part of Design Team for Lasting Memories.

This week's theme  is  China. The Chinese are well know for their Feng Shui. This week we want Balanced colours of Blue and White ( for the Year of the Water Rat)

As this month is all about "Wonders of the World". I decided to do the 12 Apostles in Victoria Australia. They are out crops of Rock in the Ocean which are slowly deteriorating. 

The photos where taken a few years ago and give you an idea of what they like.

Dye cut 2 tags from White  and 2 from Sea Breeze using the essential dye No 3

Cut "Swell" 6" x 12"  bottom of page

Cut 2 x 3" x 12" of "Swell" tear the left side of one and right side of the second piece

Cut 3 photo mats 3.25" x 4.75" from "Foam Reverse"

Cut 3 photo mats 3.50" x 5" from white card stock

Cut 2 strips of 3" x 12" from white card stock

Stamp the two white strips of card stock with Circle Cluster Stamp and Sea Breeze ink

Stamp the Sea Breeze tags with the waves stamp

ASSEMBLY:

Add the Stamped white Card stock to white Card stock 1.50" from the left and second piece 1.50" from right running vertically 

Add the piece of 6" x 12" piece of  "Swell " 3" from the left handside using foam tape in middle only

Add the torn pieces of "Swell" tucking them under "Swell" on both sides ( see photo for further detail ) leaving between 0.75" and 1" of the stamp piece exposed.

Add mat of "Foam" Reverse to white card stock add photo's 

Add photo's mats  leaving a gap of 0.25" between  each

Add Collectables as per photo

Add two tags together using brads and adding journal to both  tags

Add title to top  of photos

Add ink to left and right side of the  page

Yesterday was Fathers day   after a lovely morning it turned cloudy and much cooler with a few spots of rain. Today the sun is out and it looks like it will be a lively day.  In between visitors i got to finish one of this month's challenges  for Mystical Scrapbooks monthly challenge. This month it is all about paint and ink

The challenge was to alter the background of your page by using paint or ink. Not one of my favourite tools in scrapbooking. What i decided was to get the water colours out and paint some stripes on the background and to add some stamped butterflies which i also watercoloured.

Last time our grandaughter was here she painted some watercoloured backgrounds which i have also used as the photo mat and a few of the tags

I hope you liked what i done as i am pleased with the outcome

PAINT, CUTTING & STAMPING

Paint an A4 sheet using watercolour paints into various stripes adding black strip between colours

Using your water colour paints. Paint strips 4" from the top and 4" from the bottom

Each strip is approximately 1.5 " wide and 4 " long execpt lasts one 

Stamp a mixture of butterflies in various sizes

I stamped 4 large 5 Medium and 4 small using black ink

Fussy cut each Butterfly and paint using watercolours

Using Essential Dyes cut 3 with fish tails at both end and 2 with fish tails at one end from watercoloured paper

Dye cut photo mat from watercoloured paper

Dye cut using large ticket dye watercoloured paper

Dye cut the word Blessed from watercoloured paper

On two of the dye cut fish tails use liquid pearls

Add journalling to each tag

Once assembled add water colour around the edges of the page

2nd Generation Poncho

Afternoon all

It’s been another beautiful day here is South East Queensland, a warm day with an overnight low of 10 degrees

It’s been so quiet today. My back has been extremely painful for the last few days that  I actually took so pain meds as i could not move and sitting was just about impossible, taking this has been i have slept all afternoon but have woken up feeling a little better, so thought i do this blog post. Sitting here someone as put their wood burner fire on as I can smell the wood burning such a lovely smell feels like you need a pot of soup or hot chocolate.
The picture is of my grand daughter with a phonco that was made for Mother's sister twenty five plus years before by her great great Aunty who had a stroke and the only way she could crochet  was to put the hook in a holder that would hold the needle upright. Both her mother and her Aunty wore the poncho.At some stage i added extra rows so that they could get more wares from it and it has been worn by all the girls in the family since

 

I completed this layout for Kraft Plus. This month the challenge was to use Paper Cuts (or fussy cut) .

I also made a card from the scraps left over in the bag. Now I only have two sheets left of the Morning Dew Collection and no Collectables. Although i have been told our local Spotlight has some

Add half Cut doily to bottom of photo
Layer fusdy cut flowers starting at the bottom right hand corner. I have three layers 
Add embellishments as per photo
Add title to top of page.


All of these bits where in the bag with a partial cut  Sheet of "Serne" which i fussy cut for flower cluster. There were all several small bits of " Breathe" so more fussy cutting.
Any of the bits left i made this card including the thin strips from the sticker sheet.
The measurements of my pieces are if i was starting from scratch as few had bits out of them or not cut straight but luckly able to hide them.
I am a terrible hoarder of small bits of paper

Catching up on my blog, got slack last week, but thought I better start putting these posts up or i will have nothing, for the month,
Due surgery on Thursday, they rang me last Thursday to say at this stage it was going ahead and to start my pre prep admission injections. Here's hoping it all goes ahead, as i don't want to come on and off these injections as it is a pain, as it will mean daily blood tests.
