Much cooler today with some westerly winds, . Yesterday i got back around 2 p.m. and had some lunch and started to think about my next layout, I thought about what photo i wanted to use next as trying to use one photo out of each envelope , the next envelope was black and white photos so i knew that there was no Christmas photos (most of the challenges this month are Christmas Themed. so need to choose a challenge that would suit a black and white photo. I decided to do the "Kraft plus" challenge which is "Needles and Pins". I had been given some Kaisrcraft papers from 2013 called "Needle and Thread" so thought this was the appropriate paper to use, raided my sewing stash for a few other bits and pieces as well

Cotton in yellow, red and green, White Silk thread, Button, Hooks and Eyes Packet , Press studs packet , sewing needles and pins
Fiskars Border Punch
Uniquely Creative stitched rectangle dye

CUTTING:
Cut "Paper Seam" Reverse 9.5" x 9.5 "
Fussy cut the cotton reels on the left hand side
Used boarder punch and punched the bottom and right hand side of "Paper Seam"
Cut "Back Stitch" 8" square
Dye Cut Kraft card stock 4.75" x 3" for photo mat
Dye Cut "Back Stitch" reverse 5" x 3.5" for Photo mat
Cut Kraft card stock 2.75" x 4.75"
ASSEMBLY:
Added "Paper Seam" Reverse to Kraft Card stock 0.75 from top and 0.75 from left hand side
Added "Back Stitch" 2" from top and 1" from left hand side tucking it under the fussy cut cotton reels
Added Kraft card stock 4.75" x 3" to "Back Stitch" to 5" x 3.5" (Photo Mat)
Added Photo to Photo Mat 0.50" from left hand side
Using 2.75" x 4.75" Kraft card stock photo copied pattern from another button card stock base
Add Journal to card
Add this to "Back Stitch"2.75" from the left and 2.25" from the top
Add the photo mat 2.25" from the left and 3.25" from the top
Add cotton to 2 wooden flourish reels add needles and pins to each reels
Place over the top and bottom reels that have been fussy cut ( as per Photo)
Make a cluster of Wooden elements and collectables to the right and bottom of photo mat (see photo)
Add Collectables "Cute as a Button" on an angle to left off photo
Add flower Collectables over the yellow rose at top of photo
Add silk thread as photo
