Xmas Photo (Maureen Wood )

 Afternoon all

Its been a funny old day today. Its been raining or should I say sun showers then the wind picks up and need to shut things up.so my table does blow every where . Its a lot cooler today as well.

This afternoon after some procrastination on whether to do a layout or continue with some fancy fold cards I decided  to do week 3 of Sketches in Thyme.

Following the sketch I have created a very simple no layers layout as I wanted the 7"  x 5" photo to be my hero. I have had this photo for quite a long time not really knowing what I was going to do with it.  The little fellow is now at school. So best finish off his baby book.

CUTTING:

Cut two lengths of  1.75" x 12" from "Stripes"

Cut  2 x 0.25" x 7" from "Stripes" 

Cut 2 photo mats 3.50" x 2.75" from "Wise" Reverse and  "Bushland Beauty" Reverse

Fussy cut "Owl" from "Wise"

Fussy Cut cluster of Flowers from "Wise"

Fussy cut "Film Strip" 8" x 1" from Acetate Sheet 

Fussy cut 1"Film Strip" square from Acetate Sheet

Fussy Cut 2 x "Butterflies" from Acetate Sheet

ASSEMBLY:

Add one Red Stripe to top and bottom of 7" x 5" photo

Using "Sun Bleached" Reverse as Base add 7" x 5"  Photo.  1.25" from the top and 3" from left hand side

Add " Stripes " 3" from left hand side add second piece so Red stripe sits against photo

Add title letters below photo so they sit inside the film strip, tuck ends underneath the Red Strips

Add the words underneath individual strip of film which is 1 " from left hand side and 5.25" from the bottom

Add small photos to mats (I have used an  owl as did not have second photo) also used two different coloured mats as did not have two pieces the same colour as this layout was made from my scrap box

Add to page as per photo 

In between each photo add a cluster of flowers

Add fussy cut Butterflies as per photo
