Design Team Post for LM 642-----Beautiful

 Moring All

I can't believe its time to be  back with us again for another week

The weather here in Australia has been quite warm , the past week and half each day has been between 30 degrees Celsius and 38 degrees which which is between 86 degrees Fahrenheit and just over a 100 degrees. Its been another busy fortnight , but in the afternoon I tend to have a snooze in the air conditioning to kept cool

I am back scrapping or card making most days which I am happy about getting my mojo back so the blog posts will increase. Yay for me , don't now about everyone else

Today's layout is for Lasting Memories week 642.

https://kcclayoutchallenges.blogspot.com

March is brought to us by Lauren and we are celebrating special days.  On the 20th March its "International Day of Happiness."

What we challenging you to do, is to create a layout about some one or something that makes you happy.

My layout is of two of the Great Grandchildren Miya and Ryder (they cousins) but most adorable and certainly make us all happy

With this layout I have used lots off scrap pieces, those ones you tend to cut down but cannot quite throw that strip out.

Maureen Wood Sketch 391

 Morning all.

The sun is shinning, we actually had rain yesterday not much around 20ml , some areas got as much as 80 to 100ml but its something to wet the ground and make the yard look a bit green.

I say we'll get a storm later today as the humidity has already started to rise.

This will be my last sketch challenge for a couple of weeks as i will be in hospital  but as soon as i am out, so will be my craft stuff.

I am entering my card into the Atlantic Hearts weekly Sketch challenge.

http://atlanticheartschallenge.blogspot.com

I have used scraps from two collections from Close To my Heart. I do love those black butterflies.

Hope you like my card.

Best Day

Hi guys,

Another lovely peaceful day here in South East Queensland. The days are lovely  but the nights are cool and crisp. Good sleeping weather.

I made a start on the Kraft + Challenge yesterday and finished it off this morning

The Challenge this month is to be inspired by Fashion, the photo has blacks and pinks
What i chose to scrap was a photo of my Graduation. It wax taken in 1968
The dress was blue organizer  with a blue silk linnng. I made it with my mothers help, both materials extremely hard to sew on a treadle sewing machine.

When i was stencilling i dropped some modelling paste on the card stock tried to get it off  but just made a mess,  so decide to add some more and scrap it off so the kraft  card looked aged. I wish i could manage to just use the paste on the stencil and not everwhere else. I had already made three attempts so ended up wiping  it over with a damp cloth.

Mondays Inspirational post " Together for Ever"

Good Morning .

Its yet again Monday,  another week has passed us by. Its a bit cooler with winds blowing from the west. I had a very busy week and weekend with our granddaughter sing in her school choir at the Eisteddfod, which meant a trip to Toowoomba.

As you can probably tell from my sneak peek, i have been fussy cutting again.
The layout is for our sons Wedding album, which is nearly complete.
This is a really quick layout as i didn't get it completed early in the week as time just escaped me and i was so tired yesterday after tripping around

The papers are Close to My Heart. "Hello Lovely". Luckily there where a few dye cuts in the bag.
Fussy cut a few flowers from one of the sheets and used Versa "Cinnamon" ink on a dauber to add to the paneling page and also the half flower dye cut
Added dye cut  flower to top of panel page 0.50" from the left.
Cut two photo mats one at 7" x 5"  and one at 6.5 x 4.5"used foam tape to add to page 4" from the top and 4.5" from the left hand side.
Add the title from the sticker sheet 5.5" from the left and 3" from the top.
Then layered fussy cut flowers and gauze around the photo mat.
Add the dye cut pink flowers.
Add some gems and wording cut from the salvage of the gold speckled sheet
Added Heart from the  sticker sheet.
Added flower to the centre of the Dye cut flower.
