Stick it down Card Sketch Maureen Wood (AUST)

 Afternoon all

Its overcast and looks like rain, It is forecast for another heavy down pour this week end. I hope not, just had a walk in the backyard to look at an Orchard that has come out and it is so wet, really don't need more rain.

I was suppose to post this last week end but have been so busy and due to the rain the internet has been patchy.

Its working this afternoon , so I thought I get a few things done.

The first one is a card sketch for Stick it Down.

http://stickitdown.blogspot.com/

I have used bits and pieces from my scrap box.

Card Sketch 472 Maureen W (AUST)

 Morning  all

Its raining again today  last night it was extremely  heavy. The place is a sodden  mess.

It will take ages to dry. At least its not hot so the grass won't  grow like it dies in summer.

Yesterday I completed the sketch for Atlantic Hearts weekly card challenge.

As I had my scraps out as doing a journal page for a swap. I have no idea who printed the papers, I think some are Kaisercraft  and some are Stamping Up I must have received in a swap.

Hope you like it

 Good Morning

I have a quite few moments so catching up on my blog posts, not like last month when I made the cards but totally forget to add them to my blog. The last couple of weeks have just been so hectic. Life certainly can get in the way of craft.

This card is for the sketch challenge No: 471 for Atlantic Hearts Challenge.

Loved the sketch

I have used some old papers Kaisercraft "Telegraph Road", Kaisercraft Stitched Circle Dye and Uniquely Creative Slime Line Scalloped Dyes with a small amount of lace and some Kaisercraft Gems

Card Sketch 213 Maureen W (AUST)

Morning all

As it was so hot yesterday I didn't do much I made a few cards,  At the end of last week when removing stuff from cupboards that had got wet in the flooding, I found this packet of paper with the original instructions in it.

It was the instructions that drew me to the plastic bag as I thought that I finished this 6" Paper pad

I thought I thrown the card instructions or should I say pictures of their designs out as I was not particular fond of the cards, and just used the Paper Pad as I like the designs

I had about 4 full sheets and lots of cut off so thought I would finish as many  cards as I could with the remnants . I think I did well made 6 cards and even a fancy fold in amongst it. I tried a "London Bridge" card its not like a normal Bridge card . I seen it on You Tube a few days ago  Its from Lyn Dunn a Stamping Up Demonstrator and wanted to try it. So easy, I even made a bigger version than what was in the instructions. I still have to dye cut some birds for it to finish it off

This is one of the cards Using Ultimate Crafts "Rambling Rose" 6" paper pad

I am entering it into Sketch~n~Scrap Card Challenge for Week 2 for March

Sketch # 443 Maureen W (AUST)

 Morning all

Very black outside now, storm coming across. Last night we had  just finished dinner when thec thunder and lighting started it was terrible,  it made me jump each time, it was directly over the top of us. Heavy rain and small size hail for all most a half an hour then it became slow and steady for quite some time. Thank heavens we did not loose power.

Today I thought I write this up before I forgot like last week

The card is for the weekly Sketch Challenge over at Atlantic Hearts blog

http://atlanticheartschallenge.blogspot.com/

I have used Uniquely Creative "Holly Jolly Christmas " its getting to an end  i love the traditional checks of Red and Green in this collection

 Good Morning everyone

Todays blog is for a Guest Designer Post for a card I submitted in March.and won

for Stick it Down.

http://stickitdown.blogspot.com/

I have been  in hospital for nearly five weeks  brought some items with me as the first 2 weeks where about a work up to surgery.  I then thought I would come home before surgery once it was on the cards. That was not the case. So I have used what I had on hand to interpret the sketch.

I do hope it gives you some idea on how to interpret the sketch

Maureen . W (AUST) CARD SKETCH

 Afternoon all

The sun's come out, but very humid today.

First thing this morning my washing machine was calling me, normally wash on Monday's and every second week I have a cleaner that comes and strips and remakes the bed and washes the sheets etc for me and hangs them out to dry. ( Not allowed to reach above my shoulder) so no hanging things on our line. Hubby does it on the off week.

As it rained all day yesterday no washing was done. My cleaner vacuumed, washed the floors, cleaned the toilet and bathroom plus put clean sheets on the bed. So its all good now for another fortnight.

Whilst she was doing the clean , I made this card.

http://stickitdown.blogspot.com/

I have used papers from the 6.5" Paper Pad, Kaisercraft Native Breeze called  "Banksia Bouquet " with some Collectables and the Sticker Sheet.

Maureen W (AUST) Card Sketch 381

 Morning all,

Such a beautiful Winter's day tops of 26 Degrees.

As usually I forgot to post this page early in the week . This weeks has been so busy. Normally we  have our Royal Show this week and a public holiday on  the Wednesday .

This year due to COVID19, alas no show but still a Public Holiday,  but they changed it till Friday so the workers could have a long weekend, so all our medical appointments where brought forward  hence a busy week.

Today , I participated in Atlantic Hearts card Challenge, this sketch weekly Card challenge.

 http://atlanticheartschallenge.blogspot.com/

Today I have used a piece of Kraft Card Stock to create a 7" x 5" card and Uniquely Creative "True North" Collection. With the first layer i cut up the
piece that comes in the packet to show you the designs.

I do hope you like it.

Designer post- Christmas in July theme

Morning all,

Its a beautiful day here in South East Queensland.  After a chilly 7 degrees this morning the skies are blue and the sun is shinning with a light breeze not like yesterday when it was freezing and blowing a gale.

The theme for the Designer Team this month is "Christmas in July" thought i really should be doing a layout, but time got away from me, as my leg has been to swollen to sit for long periods.

We do hope  this has given you some inspiration to join us this month In the "ANYHING GOES CHALLENGE",

I decided i would use up a scrap piece of Christmas paper from last year so decided to do a one sheet Wonder set of cards. The paper was a little bit bigger than a 6" x 6" paper pad so doubled up on a few of the cuts so i would have no waste.
The page was 11.5 " long and 6" wide. I have also used the remaining Collectables and Sticker sheet from the collection.
This selection took me around an hour to make including the cutting and embossing of each card.
A set of very quick and easy cards.

MY CARDS:

PRODUCTS USED:

Kaisercraft "Peace and Joy" Collection:- Comfort Reverse, Sticker Sheet and Collectables.
Kaisercraft Embossing Folders Dots and Christmas Tree
Kaisercraft Green Card Stock
Kaisercraft Red Gems
6 White Card Bases and 1 Red Card Base 6.25" x 4.25"

CUTTING:

Cut the below from "Comfort and Joy" 11.5 " long and 6" wide sheet

First Column
2 x 5.75" x 1.50"
1 x 4.75" x 2"

Second Column:
1 x 3" x 3"
3 x 1" x  3"

Third Column
4 x 1.50" x 1.50"
4 x 1.50" x 1"

Cut green card stock for each piece 0.25" wider and longer.

ASSEMBLY:

Add the cut pieces to green card stock
Run card bases through the embossing folder
Then Add to cards as per photo
Emblish with stickers, Rhinestones and Collectables as per photo

Card Sketch 375. (Maureen W) AUST

Morning All,

It's Saturday here in Australia and another beautiful winters day. The sun is shining with a light breeze.

I haven't done any challenges for a while, since I had surgery in early May, I have not been able to sit and scrapbook or card make for more than 15mts at a time. I have been doing lots of fussy cutting though which you see in some layouts to come.

My time at my craft table and time spent with my leg up is improving. The infection I had is slowly going away, so can do a bit more each day.

I decided I would do the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge, as my first challenge back.

Love the card challenges as it gives me more cards for our Troops Serving Overseas
